Mamaway Baby Ring Sling Review

As some of my other recent posts mention, I have an 18-month old toddler. Now I have worn him in the past with various types of carriers but never a ring sling, although I have wanted to try one and now I finally was able to. He is around 24lbs and 31in. long and I made sure ahead of time this would support him.

The carrier is said to hold up to 50 kg or around 110 lbs which would be like carrying myself but I could see in many cases where a parent may have child who does weigh more and needs to be carried. It is made from 100% Pima cotton and is machine washable.

Now I am a short woman at only 4'11 and while I was thinking this would be an issue, it wasn't at all. I was able to put my son in and it was really comfortable to me to wear him although he did not want to be worn for a long period. I let my sister give it a try with my niece who is only 10 months old and she felt it was comfortable with her as well. The material is really thick and it has a pocket so you can easily put it up and pack it with you on the go. The ring also did not dig into my shoulder and I find with some of my other baby carriers, this to be an issue and they're just cloth. Overall it is a really supportive and comfortable to wear carrier.

If you are unsure of how to use it, there are very useful Youtube tutorials you can find at

If you are interested in buying one or learning more you can on Amazon by clicking HERE. It's not a sponsored link, just a link to the product's page. The price is $69.99 which I feel is a great price for this carrier and about what I would see for a carrier of this quality.

Here are a couple pictures of me carrying my son.Hope you enjoyed the review!

Kumfy Soft Nursing Pads Review

So I am still breastfeeding my 18 month old son and still have the need for nursing pads. So far I've just been buying disposable nursing pads and have probably spent quite a bit of money doing so. Well I was given the opportunity to try out some washable nursing pads.

On Amazon they are described as being 4.7in in diameter and you can see that is about correct by the pictures given. They come as a set of 4 pairs which I found very nice because you should always have a pair if you keep up on washing them. As for washing them, it's very easy. The instructions say to do so in hot water, either machine or hand wash. I chose to hand wash them since usually I don't have a large enough load of items that can be washed in hot water. I also chose to line dry them but I think a dryer would be perfectly fine.

They are comfortable to wear and really soft. They stayed put and did not move unless my bra wasn't on correctly. As for absorption, they work just as good as disposable for me but I do not leak too bad at this point in my breastfeeding journey. I couldn't really notice I was wearing them and I loved the size they were. They're actually slightly smaller than the disposable ones I have used which I felt were too big and would sometimes show out of my bra making wearing a tank top difficult.

Overall I LOVED these and will continue to use them and say good-bye to buying disposables.

If you're interested in buying some for yourself you can at: They're only $15.97 which I think is definitely worth it if you add up the cost of disposable pads if you breastfeed for a long period of time. I know for sure I've spent more than that these past 18 months.

#ZzzQuil Review

I was given a sample of Zzzquil to try from Influenster. I was pretty excited to give it a try because as a mother to a toddler, I sometimes don't get a good night sleep. Now he is 18 months and dealing with sleep regression so I probably didn't sleep the recommended 7-8 hours, but I will say however long I did sleep, I did notice a difference upon waking up. I did feel more rested compared to nights I used nothing. However it didn't help me fall asleep any quicker than normal.

Now I will like to mention that if you take a look at the ingredients, and grab a box of Benedryl, you will see they are exactly the same. Also anyone can compare prices and see Zzzquil is more expensive. While I do lean towards recommending the product, if you're like me, you want to save money. I'm sure you could probably even find something cheaper that is store brand.

Overall it is a decent product but I think if they want to compete, lower the price.

SWEETarts Soft Bites Review #FollowYourTart

I was given the chance to try and review SweeTarts Softbites and I was expecting something good being a fan of the SweeTart brand. They are about the size of a quarter and in a bag there are 4 different flavors. You can see in my pictures below.

I was thinking being a gummy candy it would stick to my teeth, but it did not. It is pretty chewy and my 18-month old son was able to chew it without problems and wanted to try to eat the whole bag. I did like all the flavors but if I had to pick, my favorite would probably be the orange one following with the yellow. I was actually surprised because usually I lean towards the pink or red but I didn't with these.

Those who were able to try them with me like my mom and my boyfriend's mom enjoyed them as well. My mom doesn't have the best of teeth but had no problem chewing on these.

Overall I would definitely buy these again not just for myself but my son as well. They are sweet and not sour like other SweeTart candy but still good!

#ComeClean with Seventh Generation

I was given the opportunity to try and review Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent. I chose to try the free and clear type as I thought it smelled the best compared to the others in the selection inside of Target.

I have washed both my clothes, my partner's clothes and our son's clothes as well just to see how well it would clean each of ours especially since my partner and our son can get quite dirty. After quite a few loads, I am impressed with how well it works. I did have to pre-treat some stains as I do with any other type of laundry detergent and did choose to use fabric conditioner as well, as I do with other detergents. This worked just as well especially compared to the other free and clear detergents I have tried.

It does not have a strong scent at all so if you do want some fragrance, I'd suggest a booster of some sort but it does get the clothes clean. I do love that it is more natural when it comes to my son as he i only 18 months and at times his skin can be sensitive. I really love using this with ours and his sheets and it does a wonderful job cleaning sheets as well.

If you're interested in learning more about the detergent or Seventh Generation products in general you can visit their website or Facebook. You can find this on Amazon or at your local Target. While I do think it's on the expensive side, the product works and if you're the type to have sensitive skin, I would recommend giving it a try.
