Advil PM Review

I was given the opportunity to try out Advil PM recently. I sometimes deal with headaches at night or the occasional back ache. The headaches can make sleep very hard and sometimes regular pain medicine does not always help.

This were easy to take and worked well for dealing with the pain as well as helping me get a decent night sleep. I wake up feeling good and not like I am hungover like I noticed some "night time" or "sleep aids" tend to do. Overall, I feel it does a great job and comes from a brand I already trust and have used in the past.

Gillette Venus Disposables Product Review

I was given the opportunity on BzzAgent by Gillette to try their Simply Venus Disposable razors. I received a pack of 4 razors, each of which is a 3-blade razor. The razor also has an easy glide moisture strip with a touch of aloe as you can seen described on the back of the package.

Now I have to shave pretty often as my hair grows quick and it comes in thick and dark. I used these on my legs, underarms and bikini area and with Skintimate shaving cream. For a disposable razor, these do a fairly good job. They worked best for my underarms and I felt I got a pretty close shave in that area. As for my legs, I still received a decent shave but I will say I have used a better razor that gave me a better shave. And for my bikini area, it was not what I am used to but I was still pleased with the results.

Overall, they are good disposable razors and I actually was able to get more than one use but compared to some other razors, they are not the best. I did have to go over some areas to make sure all the hair was removed but other than that, most of the area was smooth. They are comfortable to hold and if you are on a tight budget, I would still recommend giving them a try.

Mamaway Baby Ring Sling Review

As some of my other recent posts mention, I have an 18-month old toddler. Now I have worn him in the past with various types of carriers but never a ring sling, although I have wanted to try one and now I finally was able to. He is around 24lbs and 31in. long and I made sure ahead of time this would support him.

The carrier is said to hold up to 50 kg or around 110 lbs which would be like carrying myself but I could see in many cases where a parent may have child who does weigh more and needs to be carried. It is made from 100% Pima cotton and is machine washable.

Now I am a short woman at only 4'11 and while I was thinking this would be an issue, it wasn't at all. I was able to put my son in and it was really comfortable to me to wear him although he did not want to be worn for a long period. I let my sister give it a try with my niece who is only 10 months old and she felt it was comfortable with her as well. The material is really thick and it has a pocket so you can easily put it up and pack it with you on the go. The ring also did not dig into my shoulder and I find with some of my other baby carriers, this to be an issue and they're just cloth. Overall it is a really supportive and comfortable to wear carrier.

If you are unsure of how to use it, there are very useful Youtube tutorials you can find at

If you are interested in buying one or learning more you can on Amazon by clicking HERE. It's not a sponsored link, just a link to the product's page. The price is $69.99 which I feel is a great price for this carrier and about what I would see for a carrier of this quality.

Here are a couple pictures of me carrying my son.Hope you enjoyed the review!

Kumfy Soft Nursing Pads Review

So I am still breastfeeding my 18 month old son and still have the need for nursing pads. So far I've just been buying disposable nursing pads and have probably spent quite a bit of money doing so. Well I was given the opportunity to try out some washable nursing pads.

On Amazon they are described as being 4.7in in diameter and you can see that is about correct by the pictures given. They come as a set of 4 pairs which I found very nice because you should always have a pair if you keep up on washing them. As for washing them, it's very easy. The instructions say to do so in hot water, either machine or hand wash. I chose to hand wash them since usually I don't have a large enough load of items that can be washed in hot water. I also chose to line dry them but I think a dryer would be perfectly fine.

They are comfortable to wear and really soft. They stayed put and did not move unless my bra wasn't on correctly. As for absorption, they work just as good as disposable for me but I do not leak too bad at this point in my breastfeeding journey. I couldn't really notice I was wearing them and I loved the size they were. They're actually slightly smaller than the disposable ones I have used which I felt were too big and would sometimes show out of my bra making wearing a tank top difficult.

Overall I LOVED these and will continue to use them and say good-bye to buying disposables.

If you're interested in buying some for yourself you can at: They're only $15.97 which I think is definitely worth it if you add up the cost of disposable pads if you breastfeed for a long period of time. I know for sure I've spent more than that these past 18 months.

#ZzzQuil Review

I was given a sample of Zzzquil to try from Influenster. I was pretty excited to give it a try because as a mother to a toddler, I sometimes don't get a good night sleep. Now he is 18 months and dealing with sleep regression so I probably didn't sleep the recommended 7-8 hours, but I will say however long I did sleep, I did notice a difference upon waking up. I did feel more rested compared to nights I used nothing. However it didn't help me fall asleep any quicker than normal.

Now I will like to mention that if you take a look at the ingredients, and grab a box of Benedryl, you will see they are exactly the same. Also anyone can compare prices and see Zzzquil is more expensive. While I do lean towards recommending the product, if you're like me, you want to save money. I'm sure you could probably even find something cheaper that is store brand.

Overall it is a decent product but I think if they want to compete, lower the price.

SWEETarts Soft Bites Review #FollowYourTart

I was given the chance to try and review SweeTarts Softbites and I was expecting something good being a fan of the SweeTart brand. They are about the size of a quarter and in a bag there are 4 different flavors. You can see in my pictures below.

I was thinking being a gummy candy it would stick to my teeth, but it did not. It is pretty chewy and my 18-month old son was able to chew it without problems and wanted to try to eat the whole bag. I did like all the flavors but if I had to pick, my favorite would probably be the orange one following with the yellow. I was actually surprised because usually I lean towards the pink or red but I didn't with these.

Those who were able to try them with me like my mom and my boyfriend's mom enjoyed them as well. My mom doesn't have the best of teeth but had no problem chewing on these.

Overall I would definitely buy these again not just for myself but my son as well. They are sweet and not sour like other SweeTart candy but still good!

#ComeClean with Seventh Generation

I was given the opportunity to try and review Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent. I chose to try the free and clear type as I thought it smelled the best compared to the others in the selection inside of Target.

I have washed both my clothes, my partner's clothes and our son's clothes as well just to see how well it would clean each of ours especially since my partner and our son can get quite dirty. After quite a few loads, I am impressed with how well it works. I did have to pre-treat some stains as I do with any other type of laundry detergent and did choose to use fabric conditioner as well, as I do with other detergents. This worked just as well especially compared to the other free and clear detergents I have tried.

It does not have a strong scent at all so if you do want some fragrance, I'd suggest a booster of some sort but it does get the clothes clean. I do love that it is more natural when it comes to my son as he i only 18 months and at times his skin can be sensitive. I really love using this with ours and his sheets and it does a wonderful job cleaning sheets as well.

If you're interested in learning more about the detergent or Seventh Generation products in general you can visit their website or Facebook. You can find this on Amazon or at your local Target. While I do think it's on the expensive side, the product works and if you're the type to have sensitive skin, I would recommend giving it a try.

Apricot Power Ground Superfood Mix Chocolate Brownie Mix Sample

I was given a sample of Apricot Power Ground Superfood Mix Chocolate Brownie Mix. Now people can choose how to consume the product whether they want to eat it raw, use it in baking or use it in a smoothie or shake. I myself chose a smoothie/shake as I wanted something easy and quick to make.

Now it may not be the healthiest option but I chose to use whole milk (only milk we have available in the house) instead of water to mix it with and just added some ice cubes to it. I used my Ninja Blender to blend it all together.

It has a really good flavor or at least what I made did. I could taste a hint of chocolate but will admit it's not as good as a plain chocolate brownie but of course it's healthier. I did find it to be a little on the gritty side but I probably could just blend it up more. It was still tasty and I drunk every bit.

Now for those wondering what ingredients are in this product (and if you aren't able to see by the picture I have shared,) they include:

Organic Pumpkin Seed Protein Concentrate, Organic Buckwheat groats, Organic Cocoa, Natural Chocolate Chips, Organic Hemp (Ground Hulls & Toasted Seeds), Organic Raisins, Organic Sunflower Seeds, Organic Flax Seeds (Brown and Golden), Cranberries (dried), Organic Sesame Seeds, Xylitol (Hardwood, from Birch Trees), Diced Papaya, Diced Pineapple, Organic Pumpkin Seeds, Almonds, Organic Chia Seeds, Apricot Seeds (ground), Guar gum

Mamaway's Antibacterial Sleep and Nursing Bra #sleepbra #nursingbra #bra #maternitywear #happymommy #antibacterialbra

As a nursing mother, I definitely prefer to use a nursing bra over a regular one because they are easy to put to the side so I can nurse my son. I was given the opportunity to try and review a nursing bra by Mamaway.

I ordered brown and according the size chart, was suggested to order a small. The small fits me perfect and I am normally a 32D in a normal bra. The straps do not dig into my shoulders and the band does not leave any marks on my skin. Also the material is extremely soft and not irritating at all. I had no problem nursing my son and slept very comfortable with it on. I'm used to sleeping without a bra but since I am nursing, I do not want to risk leaking.

The back of the package mentions that it's great for pregnancy as well, which if you are expecting your first and aren't far along, you will want a comfortable bra. I highly suggest packing a bra like this in your hospital bag as well especially if you plan on nursing. It also mentions that the bra offers a permanent bacteriostatic and anti-odor properties and as I have somewhat mentioned previously, stretchy and soft fabric.

The back also mentions that it is a crossover design which you can see by the pictures. I love this design as it did help me feed better. I do prefer to just pull it to the side rather than deal with a nursing bra that is slightly padded. The back has 3 pairs of hooks for easy adjustment and I myself was able to wear it comfortable on any hook, although my preference was as small as it could go.

The last thing which you may be able to see on the picture of the package are the universal laundry symbols. The bra itself does not list how to wash it but the symbol to hand wash is there. It washed up very easily and I washed it at night and by morning it was dry and still soft as ever.

Overall I LOVED this bra. I wish I would've had it when I first started my pregnancy/breastfeeding journal. Compared to the other 3 nursing bras I own, this is by far the most comfortable. I will be using it to sleep in even after I stop breastfeeding.

#ProtectClothesYouLove On Laundry Day With Downy Fabric Conditioner

Laundry is not an enjoyable task for most but I actually do not mind doing laundry, at least the washing and drying part of it. Now having to fold and put up laundry is another story, especially when you have 17-month that tries to "help" you with putting up the laundry. Anyways, I was recently sent a bottle of Downy Fabric Conditioner to try out with my laundry routine. Now I normally do use fabric softener sheets because I want my clothes soft and especially my bed-sheets, but after using this conditioner, I will definitely continue using it as part of my laundry routine.

Now why should you consider adding it to your routine?

Well just look at the following benefits of how it can protect your clothes:

  • Clothes will bounce back to their original shape instead of losing their shape (I love this reason because I find a lot of my toddler's clothes will lose shape but this definitely helps prevent that)
  • Colors will not fade (Another great reason, especially if you have brightly colored shirts or bras like I do)
  • No fuzz on towels or other fabrics that tend to get fuzz
  • Softer fabric on anything you wash with this. I noticed a definite difference with how much softer my clothes, towels, and sheets were compared to not using this.
  • It smells great. I had not even used it yet and my boyfriend's mother mention how great it smelled. All the laundry afterwards, smelled fantastic, including my boyfriend's sweaty clothes.

As you can see from the back, the benefits are listed. Also the instructions are easy to read. Below is a picture of the cup that has marks to measure out a suggested amount for a small, medium, or large load. As you can see there is a spout that makes pouring easy.

Now to even further describe just how amazing this is, here is some more facts about the product.
  • The science behind fabric protection says that during a ride around the washing machine, garments pull, stretch, and rub together. Downy will condition, strengthen, and lubricate each fiber to protect garments from this friction and agitation of a typical washing cycle.
  • If you want to take fabric protection a step further, in addition to using Downy fabric conditioner, turn garments inside out and wash soft fabrics like cotton on the gentle cycle. By doing this, you will keep your clothes looking the best. I even suggest looking into mesh bags for more delicate items like bras.
  • Downy extends the life of fabrics so this is perfect for vintage pickup or future heirlooms. So now you can buy that one-of-a-kind thrift-store find and have it looking like new.
  • As stated on the bottle, it reduces wrinkles, thus keeping your clothes fresh longer which is a benefit you will not get by using detergent alone.
Downy is available at Walmart and for everyday low prices. You can buy it right now just by going HERE.

#ChooseToSmooth Gillette Venus Influencer Campaign

I was given the opportunity to try out the Gillette Venus Swirl razor for women. It comes with the handle and 2 cartridges. It's a 5 blade razor and gave me a really close shave. I used it on my armpits, legs and bikini area and was very impressed with the results I received. I was very impressed with the bikini area and felt due to the awesome design of this razor, was able to get areas like where my thighs meet with ease.

While I did use shaving cream on my legs, due to the moisture glide serum strips, it's not exactly necessary. I didn't use the cream on my armpits and didn't get razor burn like I sometimes do if I don't use shaving cream.

Overall a great razor from Gillette Venus as always. I was impressed and am loving my smooth feeling legs.

You can find this razor online at sites such as Amazon or in stores such as Walmart.

Collect Teables Review

I was able to try tea from The Teabook called Collect Teables. I am not a big tea drinker but I do enjoy some every once in a while. The Mint Tea is not strong at all and has a very slight mint flavor. I honestly thought the smell is stronger than it actually tastes and it smells and tastes great. I found it very smooth tasting as well and quite refreshing. I am dealing with allergies at the moment and do think it helped some, which I also found the black tea helpful as well. In regards to the black tea, it tasted great as well although I did add some sugar to it to sweeten it to my liking. I compared the black tea to other brands I've tried and I would say it is better than some brands I tried and is one I would definitely consider buying.

I only tried both hot but if I do try either cold, which I made try the black tea cold, I will come back and give an update. As for now both taste great to me and for someone who isn't too big on tea, this is a brand I actually like.

If you're interested in learning more about these, please click HERE to visit the website. I didn't take a picture of the back of the pouches but on the back are pretty neat looking pictures in which you can see if you visit the website.

This is part of a kickstarter campaign, which at the time it has reached it's goal but if you would like to fund it more, you can do so by clicking my affiliate link HERE. It will be funded June 6, 2016.

Thank you for reading my review on these two wonderful tasting teas. Hopefully anyone reading will be able to try them out for themselves.

o.b. ProComfort Tampons Review

Thanks to Smiley360, I was able to try out a box of o.b. Pro Comfort tampons. Below is my review. You can also find the same review on Amazon as well as through Smiley360.

I have heard good things about the o.b. brand, especially the Pro Comfort, but have never tried it myself. Upon receiving the box,it really is very compact. Taking out the tampons, they too are compact and have no applicator.

Now while I prefer to use an applicator, these were very easy to use and I like that they expanded out. They are comfortable to wear and I didn't noticed I was wearing one, which is one of the things I aim for with tampons.

They do a fair job when it comes to absorbency, but I think I may have to go up a size compared to the brand I usually use as I did notice some more leakage than normal but nothing too dramatic.

Overall, comfortable to wear, very compact, which is good as I carry a very small purse. Easy to use. I would recommend any woman to give them a try.

I received these for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

St. Ives VoxBox

I received the St. Ives VoxBox from Influenster and in it included Oatmeal Scrub, Even & Bright Bodywash and Pear & Soy Hand and Body Lotion. Here is my review on all three full-sized products.

St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub

I have always tried multiple face products to see what works best for me and I will say this will be going on my list of products to continue to use. It is not rough on my skin and leaves it feeling great afterwards. It also smells really great and doesn't burn while using. I used it when I woke up and before I went to bed and I feel it did do a good job of keeping my face clean and also "waking me up" in the morning time. I noticed a slight difference in my face but mostly in that it felt a lot smoother.

As you can see above, it really didn't take a lot to use. It might appear that it would be rough on your skin, but it is not despite it's appearance.

St. Ives Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion:

This body lotion smells wonderful and leaves my skin feeling really smooth. It does not take a lot and will go a long way. Also it leaves the skin feeling soft, instead of greasy like some body lotions I have tried in the past do. I love the pump style as it's easy to use and the size is a great size that will last a while even with others using it as well. I used this after a shower and at other times of the day and still had great results no matter if my skin was dry or slightly damp from a shower.

As with the oatmeal scrub, the lotion also didn't require a large quantity to cover each part I wanted it to cover.

St. Ives Even & Bright Body Wash:
This body wash has a great scent that is not overpowering at all. It lathered up pretty nicely for me and did not take a lot to lather up and clean my body with. I felt it did a great job cleaning my body and also left my skin feeling as nice and smooth as it can get prior to using lotion. It is very gentle on the skin. I would also like to state that my partner used some and did not mind it at all as he said it didn't have an extreme "girly" smell to it.

As you can see, it lathers up real nice. Just like the other products, you do not need a lot for it to wash your entire body.

Overall, I had a wonderful time testing out these products. They all exceeded my expectations. You can also find my reviews on the St. Ives page as well as my reviews on Amazon as well. If you want to know more about any of the products just click the links provided below.
