Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips Review

I was given the chance by Influenster to try out Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips. I will be reviewing it today and just so everyone knows I am not paid by anyone to test out the product or to review it.

The instructions were to use them daily for 20 days, for 30 minutes. There is a strip for both the top and bottom row of teeth. I found it was easier to apply the top strip than the bottom strip but that may be because my bottom teeth are really crooked. Overall I had no problems applying them except when my lips were chapped because the touch of my fingers against my lips made them hurt a little.

There is a weird taste in my opinion and I'm guessing due to the chemicals on the strip coming off. Also I would guess this is why I felt a weird feeling on my tongue as well. I could drink while using these strips without any problems. I could tell the strips were there and it did feel weird to talk with them in. I've never worn a retainer but my nephew tried some white-strips and he says that is what it felt like to him. I noticed more how it felt on my back teeth where the ends of the strip were as well as the back of the teeth themselves.

It says that you will see results as early as 3 days and that was definitely true for me. However by day 9 I started to notice sensitivity and the toothpaste I use is suppose to help with sensitivity but I still noticed it anyways. After completing the process however I don't notice sensitivity as much but since I deal with it anyways at times, I only notice what I normally deal with so basically it only made it worse during the 20 day period but afterwards it went back to what's normal for me.

Overall I am impressed by the results. My only complaint is not all the teeth are covered of course and well I know others won't notice but I can look in the mirror at my back teeth and see the difference between them and the teeth the strip covered. I always thought my teeth were pretty white to begin with but these strips showed me that they could get a little more white.

I took before and after pictures but all of them was with a phone and I will say that you can't really tell by looking at the pictures how my teeth were before or how they were after. I tried my best to capture them just to prove that these strips do work. It says you can use them twice a year but for someone like me I think I would stick to once a year if even that.

I took a look at various sites and these strips can be found online for around $40-$45 maybe more. You can visit their website at http://www.3dwhite.com/ for more information on any of their products as well as where to buy them.

Before I end this review remember, " If You're Not Whitening, You're Yellowing." Thanks Influenster and Crest for the chance to try out these strips. I'll be recommending them to many family members and friends.

College Voxbox 2012 from Influenster

I am a member of Influenster which is a site anyone can join that if you qualfy they will send you a voxbox for items to try. I was chosen for the College Voxbox 2012 and this is my review on the items I received. I am not paid to try or review any products from Influenster.

Below is a picture of all the items together which I will say when I first opened the box I was very happy with all the products included.

These are the imPress Press-On Manicure nails. I was given "Wink Wink."When I got these nails, I instantly loved the design and knew I wanted to wear them both on Thanksgiving Day and also that Saturday for what we call "the Ironbowl" which is just when the UA Crimson Tide plays the Auburn Tigers.

The instructions were very simple and easy to understand. I had no problem with applying them. For the most part they stayed on well. Although I thought they would come off during Thanksgiving while I was cooking, eating, and taking pictures. They didn't nor did they move at all while I was sleeping. The first time I took a shower none came off nor did they catch my hair. However by the 3rd day, one did come off but I was able to put it on again. I ended up taking them off on the 4th day because they still kept snagging on my hair when the beginning of the nail meets the cuticle. Also the sticky part underneath that was showing caught dirt as well. They were very easy to take off. I didn't have to use anything to help me take them off even though it stated you may.

Overall I did like them but I just don't think they are for me. For the price however ($5.99 for colors, $7.99 for patterns) it's not worth to buy in my opinion. Pictured below is when I wore them on Thanksgiving.

Broadway Nails website: http://www.broadwaynails.com/

These are Mint Boost Energy Sheets. You can find them for $5.95 per pack of 10 sheets. Both my mom and I tried these. For me they worked well compared to other energy boosters I have tried. I did like the mint flavor and it does dissolve quickly on your tounge. Actually mine wanted to break apart and stick to my roof but I really didn't mind. As for my mom she used them and says the flavor was ok and that they really helped her to feel more energized on the job. Since these worked well I am interested in trying the sleep ones as well.

Sheets website: http://www.sheetsbrand.com/

This is the Pentel EnerGel-X pen. It does write in purple ink which I really loved the color of the ink. It wrote very smooth but the paper I used it on which was regular notebook paper, it bled a little through the back. I'm a big fan of gel pens and I would highly reccommend this pen. However it isn't exactly cheap at $1.50 per pen.

Pentel's website: http://www.pentel.com

These are Necco Tropical Wafers. Flavors include lime, strawberry, mango, coconut, passion fruit, and banana. They were very tasty and fruity. I did enjoy all the flavors but my favorite would have to be lime and strawberry. My least favorite would be the coconut one but I'm not much a fan of coconut anyways. I let my mom, younger sister and youngest nephew tried them. All of them said they were ok However both my sister and I both agreed that they made our mouths feel dry a little. Overall I would buy these again and reccommend anyone to try them. You can find them for $1.25 each, $24.00 per box or $37.40 per Tub.

Necco's website: http://www.necco.com/

This is the NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Eye-liner pencil. Since receiving this I have worn it many times including Thanksgiving. It really helped bring out my eyes more and complete the look I was going for. I love that there is glitter and it's not too much that it looks gaudy, it's just the right amount. I had no problems cleaning it off either, including the glitter. I received many compliments with this and definitely will be using it for Christmas as well as New Years. This is one product I would reccommend and I do intend on trying in other colors. I think for the price of $2.49 per pencil it's definitely worth trying out. It would make a great stocking stuffer in my opinion.

New York Color's website: http://newyorkcolor.com/

Overall I had a great experience with these products from the college voxbox. Thanks very much Influenster and all the brands of the products included for giving me a chance to try these products out.

NYC New York Color Show Time Glitter Eyeliner

I received this eyeliner in my College Voxbox 2012 from Influenster so I could test it out and review it. I am not paid by anyone to test or review it. Pictured below is the eyeliner.

NYC New York Color Website: http://newyorkcolor.com/

Since having this product I have worn it a few times. All times I receive many compliments on how good I looked and well I would have to agree that this eyeliner really helped with my look. It made my eyes "pop" which I hardly put a lot on since I try to keep my look as natural as possible.

I already own a few eyelineers but what sets this one apart is the glitter. I think it adds just enough sparkle to any look. It's not too much glitter at all. I had no trouble putting on or taking it off. Some  eyeliners I feel like I had to scrub my skin off to remove but this one came off with ease for me, even the glitter. I definitely would reccommend this someone else and I even plan on buying other colors as well. I think for the price it's worth it and not a waste at all. I do plan on wearing this for Christmas as well.

Facts from the Influenster page:

•"Straight from the city that never sleeps, NYC New York Color offers products with uptown style at down-to-earth prices, from $.99 - $4.99. The energy, style, and color of New York City shines through the wide range of shades, textures and innovative products. NYC always delivers the most on-trend products & shades hot off the runway!"

•" $2.49 at Chain drugstores and mass merchandisers nationwide."

Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

I'm a member of Influenster and was chosen for the College Voxbox 2012 to test and review any products inside. I'm not paid to do anything for this site. One of the products inside was the Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure. Pictured below is my nails that I chose to wear on Thanksgiving Day.

As I said, I wore these for Thanksgiving and also was hoping they would last until Saturday for the Ironbowl which is when the Alabama Crimson Tide plays the Auburn Tigers. I thought since they were so pretty they would look good for both occasions. I loved the design the minute I seen them. They were very easy to put on and in my opinion they almost look real except for where the nail meets the cuticle. By the end of the 3rd day of wearing these, this is the part that was coming up a little and snagging on my hair.

For the most part they stayed on well even though I thought they would come off during Thanksgiving while I was cooking, eating, and taking pictures. Well they didn't nor did they move at all while I was sleeping. The first time I took a shower none came off nor did they catch my hair. However by the 3rd day, one did come off but I was able to put it on and as I said in the last paragraph, they kept snagging on my hair. I ended up taking them off on the 4th day because they still kept catching my hair. They were very easy to take off.

Overall I did like them but I just don't think they are for me. For the price it's not worth to buy in my opinion. Anyways I'm not one to go and get my nails done except for maybe a manicure but even then I still use my natural nails. I prefer to just paint them myself at home even if it means I don't get a pretty design. If I want a design I think I'll pay extra for the salon.

Here is a link to the website if you are interested in trying them yourself: http://impressmanicure.com/

Here is some information from Influenster's Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-On Manicure page:

•Salon manicure in seconds - NO glue - No drying time - Rivals the best gel polish - Won’t damage nails - Easy removal - Lasts up to a week

Dino Lingo Language learning programs for kids

I just got done watching this video from the Influenster(in which I am not paid for doing so) playlist by Dino Lingo along with my nephew and my friend's son.  They both are big fans of dinosaurs so they were instantly interested to see what this video was about. They are already a fan of Dora and Diego so they do know some Spanish and I was wanting to share this video to see just interested they were and they seem to enjoy it.

I can say they both enjoyed it very much and even wanted to watch it again. I'm sure they would love to see more from Dino Lingo as well as I would like to see them watch more. I am really happy to have found out about such a wonderful program.

I chose the Spanish one from the playlist because I feel out of the languages available Spanish would be the best one to learn since there are many people in our community who speak Spanish. Plus it's always good to learn another language and it's better to start as young as possible since as you get older it becomes harder to learn.

With Dino Lingo, language learning programs for kids can be fun and exciting!

Here's a link to the webpage for Dino Lingo Spanish: http://dinolingo.com/languages/spanish.html#.ULhhZ2dq2So

*Once again I viewed this through Influester which I am a member of. I do not get paid for reviewing this video and/or product*

More Klout Perks

Well I received 2 Klout Perks today, Sprout Organic Baby Food and Restorsea Day & Eye Cream.

The first one is for a toddler and the other three are for 6 months+. The next my 3 year old nephew and 10 month old neice come over, we'll see how well they like these. If you go to their website for a pack of 5 is $10.60.

This is the Restorsea perk. I was told I received lab samples because they ran out of the actual bottles and these were for those on a waiting list, which I was put on. However they claim these are the same size as the actual bottles which whether or not they are I'm just happy to be able to try them out as well as my mom. The day cream is $150 and eye cream $85.

Recent freebies I got

Well I haven't updated here(except for the ads for Calyp that post) and I have received a few freebies which I love sharing what I received with anyone who happens to cross my page.

This is the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Perk that I received through Klout Perks. From left to right it's the cream cleanser($10), night cream($18) and treatment mask($18). I don't plan to use these myself as I can them to my mom who I think they will be way more useful for if she uses them.

Burt's Bees website: http://www.burtsbees.com/

Burt's Bees Facebook(like the page to be alerted of new products and to get coupons!): https://www.facebook.com/burtsbees

This is the Carol's Daughter Monoi Repairing Split End Sealer($25). I have yet to try this product out but plan to very soon. I definitely could use this as well as my mom who I'll probably let try as well but as she just recently got a trim, I don't think she has split ends at the moment. I'll try and remember to give a review on this when I do try it to let you know if it's worth buying.

Website: http://www.carolsdaughter.com/

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/carolsdaughter

This is a sample I received from Target through their "sample spot" which I suggest you check often to see what they have to offer. I received one these earlier in the year as well with great samples and also another bag. I will say I think this one is much cuter and I'm debating whether or not to keep it or maybe give it to one of my best friends as I know she would love it because of the print or even my sister as she mentioned before that I need to "hook her up on free stuff". The samples in include: L'Oreal EverCreme Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner as well as a Deep Nourishing Masque, Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer, Jergens Daily Moisture, Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner, coupon book and Fekkai Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner.

Well that's all for now. Of course with the Klout perks just go to http://www.klout.com to sign up if you haven't already and you too can start getting awesome perks from them. They are definitely one of my favorite sites and I'm so happy I decided to join them. I just hope they aren't going anywhere soon and I think the reason is pretty obvious, the free stuff!

Have a great week everyone!

Freebies I Got 10/24

The top picture is the Purina Active Life Dog Chow which I got from Walmart. Besides it is the Garnier Fructis Fall Fight Shampoo & Conditioner sample from Target. I have yet to give my dogs the sample to see if they liked as we are keeping it for if we ever run out and can't go to the store right away. Also haven't tried the shampoo and conditioner but it's something I really could use as I always feel I'm going bald. I may have to actually try whole bottles of the product to give an honest review.

The bottom are brazilets from TopFloor. I received $20 credit through a Klout Perk and these are what I chose to buy with my credit. I will say they are a little on the small side and even though I can roll them over my hand on my wrist, keep in mind I have small hands. I plan to keep the blue one and give the other 2 away. I know one will be given to my little sister but not sure who I'll give the other to, I'm thinking maybe my 12 year old niece.

I'd also like to tell anyone reading that they should check Target's website regularly in their sample spot as they often put many up there. I will post a link and hopefully it works- http://samples.target.com/?empty=1#?lnk=gnav_seemore| However if it doesn't, you can find their sample spot under "see more" and then under "additional links" Many freebie pages on FB will post when they have samples(as well as Walmart) so make sure to look for some if you have FB if you want to know exactly when there is a sample and what it is.

If you want to check out TopFloor you can join by clicking HERE. They do have some pretty awesome stuff so I do suggest at least joining to see if there is anything of interest to you. Also if you're not on klout, I suggest you join them as well-> KLOUT. If you don't know what Klout is, it sees how well you influence others. Basically if you are active on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks, then definitely join. With Klout you can get rewarded for just using social networks and interacting with friends and/or followers. The perks they have are pretty good and many are full size products as well.

Influenster

Influenster is a place where you can try out different products and then give a review on it. You prove your influence by getting "badges" for doing certain activities that are required. Badges will help to show how much influence you have which in return will help you get more products to try. So if you are the type of person who loves to review stuff, I highly recommend you give it a try.

From what I heard from those who told me about this great site, many great items come in the "Voxbox" which is what they will send you. A "voxbox" is pretty much a reward for being a good influenster.

You can learn more about Influenster here-> http://www.influenster.com/about

Influenster is invite only but you can request an invite by clicking here. Or just reply with your email and I will gladly send you.

Klout Perks

I received these a while back but hadn't really had time to share them. The first one is McDonald's Monopoly perk which was a $5 Arch card. As I am writing this I have yet to use it but do plan to soon. I really do love when McDonalds does the Monopoly game although all I usually end up winning is MyCokeRewards codes, Redbox codes, and different McDonalds menu items. Good luck to all that plays.

This was the link to the perk: http://klout.com/#/perk/McDonalds/McDonaldsMonopoly

The second one is the Science Diet Ideal Balance perk. As you can see I received the Fruity Snacks(Cranberries & Oatmeal), Jerky Strips, and Veggie Chips(Pumpkin & Yam). My two dogs will eat all 3 of them but highly prefer the Jerky Strips over the other two. If I had to say their least favorite is the Fruity Snacks one which doesn't surprise me at all.

I would share the link but I cannot seem to find it. However do visit the Facebook page for updates and deals on their products.

For those of you who want to receive awesome perks such as this, just go to http://www.klout.com/ and sign up today. Just keep in mind your score depends on the influence you have on your social networks so try your best to interact with friends and/or followers. For anymore questions I suggest you visit http://klout.com/#/corp/faq or go to their Facebook page.

Consumer Opinion Institute

Consumer Opinion Institute is simply another survey however they will send you surveys in the mail as well as offer you ones online. Today I received my first survey in the mail which is about 16 pages long but very easy to do. Along with it was a $5 bill. I think for $5 16 pages is worth it compared to some online surveys that are longer and do not pay as well(or as quick).

So if you are interested in making a little extra money and don't mind doing surveys I highly suggest this website. Any little bit counts.

Below is the survey and $5 I received in the mail. Sorry if it's not a big picture, I took it with my phone. I just wanted to show anyone with doubts that this does pay and is 100% legit.
